Purpose: Students will answer questions and play puzzles to enhance their understanding of probability.

      NYS Learning Standards:

• MST Standard 5: Computer Technology

Use the computer as a tool for generating and drawing ideas.

• 6.S.10 Statistics and Probability

Determine the probability of dependent events

• 7.S.10 Statistics and Probability

Predict the outcome of an experiment

Procedure:

• Print handouts for all students. (click here for MS-Word handout)

•  Review the directions with students.

• Inform students they are to work on this project independently.

• Give them a due date for this project.

Activities and games can be played individually or in small groups.

Assessment:

• Students will learn what probability is and where it originated.

• They will work independently on this project

• They will be assessed on their answers and the results of the probability games.
